youth & children Activities

Young people are welcome at the Festival of Faiths! For the youth 10-18 (ish) we have:

  • “BeSpoken.” Youth can craft and share stories of compassion within their religious traditions and have them recorded in a story-telling booth from BeSpoken Live.

  • Watch rosary making from the Catholic tradition side-by-side with Islamic bead bracelet making.

  • Learn about Kids4Peace in Cincinnati.

  • “Color Compassion” in your own way.   We will have various cultures symbols and languages spelling out ‘compassion’ ready to be colored.

  • "Compassionate Art" piece:  an art-cube will be available for you to imprint your vision of compassion - a word, design, or symbol.

compassionate
conversations

Festival attendees are invited to participate in Compassionate Conversations.  These facilitated conversations model civil discourse and authentic interfaith dialogue. In 20 minute increments, participants will engage in conversations that allow for meaningful engagement, sharing personal experiences and viewpoints and tackling challenging contemporary issues.  Compassionate Conversations topics include addiction, immigration/refugees, civility, racism, and hunger/poverty.
